What Digital Deal Research does

Buying an online business starts as a screening problem. The inventory on any marketplace is larger than one person can read, the listings are written in different shapes, and the figures that decide whether a business is even worth opening — what it returns on the capital required, how long it takes to pay back, what it pays per hour of owner time — are rarely the figures on the card.

Digital Deal Research exists for that step. You describe the acquisition you are actually able to make — the capital you have, the monthly profit you need, the hours per week you are willing to work, and the business models you want — and the finder ranks the current inventory against those constraints. Every listing that survives screening gets an acquisition brief: normalized economics, disclosed financial history, a percentile position against comparable listings that are for sale right now, and the specific figures the seller did not disclose.

The methodology page states every formula, weighting and fallback used to produce those pages. Nothing is scored by hand, and no ranking, comparison or narrative on this site is generated by AI.

• Listing figures are seller-reported to the marketplace. They may be incomplete, rounded, or wrong, and Digital Deal Research does not independently verify them.
• What Digital Deal Research adds is its own work: normalization into one consistent shape, financial calculations, peer cohorts, percentile positions, scoring against your criteria, and the written analysis around them.
• Because every calculation is derived from disclosed data, a wrong input produces a wrong output. Where a figure is missing it stays missing rather than being estimated.
• Asking prices and asking multiples are what a seller is asking today. They are not completed transaction prices and they are not an appraisal.
• Inventory changes constantly. Businesses sell, are withdrawn, or change price between one build and the next.
